– Since the first moment of the adoption of the Arabic language as a language of teaching at NUI University, the thought of opening the College of Islamic Studies was associated with the university administration at every moment; As the Arabic language and Islamic studies are complementary to each other, rather one does not dispense with the other.
– In response to the university’s aspirations to expand the horizons of cognitive sciences, and to open new fields that enable it to lead and spread in a way that guarantees the limit of globalization, the university administration decided in 2006 to accredit the Department of Islamic Studies; Due to the great importance of the branches of this section to millions of Arabs and Muslims.

Academic system and departments:
– NUI adopts the semester system of (2000) study hours per semester, so that one semester includes (10) weeks.

In terms of the applied system of study, the university provides study according to the following systems:
– Face-to-face learning: where the student studies his courses directly at the university, or in one of its accredited offices and branches.
– Open Learning: through which the student enrolls in a remote program.
– Blended learning: where the student is subject to a double study plan between face-to-face and open learning.
– Language of study: Standard Arabic is the official language in teaching courses and academic courses for this department, with university requirements being taught in other languages, such as: English and French.
